Daddy, Miley, and I had an adventure this week! We took Miley on her first trip to Silverton to see the leaves change. We went off roading and hiking into a waterfall! The scenery was gorgeous. It was so great to get out and enjoy the mountains again.

Miley has been sleeping through the night consistently now, allowing Mom and Dad to feel like new people! Hopefully this continues. Miley had a bit of a rough week this week because she has been battling with a bout of eczema. We went to the doctor yesterday though and got some creams and lotions to help her itchy skin feel better. She is already a much happier camper. Hopefully her skin will keep clearing up. While at the doctors office Miley weighed in at 13 lbs and 13oz. She is a growing girl!

It has been a busy two weeks. Miley went to her two month check up this last Monday and got an A+. She weighed in at 13 lbs putting her in the 85th percentile for weight and was in the 95th percentile for height! She is a healthy girl and is growing like a weed! Miley has been extremely vocal and social these last two weeks. She likes to play smiling games with me through out the day! :) She also slept through the night for four nights in a row this last week. She spoiled me for those few days but has reverted back to once a night waking the last few nights. She is sleeping really well though. Miley has also started holding on to toys and putting toys in her mouth! She always looks really proud of herself for doing this! ;) I am loving mommyhood with Miley and can't wait to see what she does next!

We also took part in an infant dedication at church for Miley, meaning that Wilson and I vowed to raise Miley in the Christian faith to follow, love, and know God. We are so excited to raise this precious little girl in God's word. She is such a blessing to us and we are so grateful for her!

Week 9

Miley is growing and growing. She has gotten her baby chub on and it is adorable! She has been so social this week. Miley engages in conversation regularly with her ever increasing babbling, cooing, and smiles. It truly is priceless! She has gotten so big lately that many of her newborn outfits are not fitting any more! So, she and I played dress up this week so that she could at least where all her tiny outfits once! We have been having tons of girl fun...

Week 8

Well, I went back to work on August 24th. Nona came all the way from Texas to take care of Miley for my first day back. It was so hard to leave my baby girl, but Nona made it better! Miley and Nona had fun hanging out all day. It was crazy to go back to work because I hadn't been there in over 5 months and so much had changed. My endurance is still way down from bed rest as I discovered after my first shift, however, I am feeling a little better each day. Nona gave Wilson and I a night off and we both got to sleep like 7 hours!!!! It was amazing! We also had a date night which was really nice. :) A big thank you to Nona for coming and helping us out.

I went back to work for my second day on August 31st. Miley stayed with Daddy all day long and did GREAT! They had fun riding a four wheeler to our neighbors house and working on tractors!(So I was told) LOL!!!!Who knows what Daddy really did with her while I was gone! I think they are keeping secrets from me ;)! This I know for sure....Daddy is going to make her a country girl.

Miley's BEST accomplishment this week was sleeping through the night last night!!!! She went to bed at 10:45p.m. and slept until 7:15a.m.!!! I ran up the stairs when I woke this morning at six, horrified that I hadn't heard her or that some thing was wrong. There she was though just sleeping away so peacefully! It was a wonderful night. I hope she does it again some time soon! :)

Miley is doing GREAT. She seems to be on schedule sleeping really good during the day and definitely improving at night. She is talking more and more each day and loves her activity gym. She has been doing really well with tummy time and is so incredibly strong already! She even turned on to her side this week. She is getting soooo BIG already! Can't wait to see what she does next...
