Put on your booties as we travel down the windy road of the last two months! It has been a molar cutting, stair climbing, rib eating kind of time! There have been many twists, turns, ups and downs as Miley NEVER stops moving. Miley has grown so much in the last two months, weighing in now at 26 pounds! She is solid muscle and so incredibly strong. Major accomplishments include sleeping in her crib (FINALLY out of the cradle), eating real (very solid) meals, and RUNNING! Miley really enjoys feeding herself now and is incredibly independent already. Some of her new favorite foods include ribs, rice, potatoes, blueberries, and oatmeal. Happy, ready, more, park, Grandma, Grandpa, Nona, and Papa are among a few of her new favorite words.
We had the opportunity to travel home to Texas for over a month to spend some much needed quality time with family. Wilson, Miley, and I got incredibly spoiled with family fun, good food, and warm weather. The trip started at the Hagg's house for Thanksgiving. It was truly such a blessing to be able to see Wilson's whole family, as we all came from all over the US. From craft making, to gun shooting, we did it all and had a blast! Miley got to meet nine cousins, ages ten and under, and many aunts and uncles for the first time. After many fun Hagg festivities, Miley and I then traveled to my parents house in Corpus Christi. Unfortunately, Wilson had to go home to work and was incredibly missed by all (especially Miley). We carried him in spirit though and kept the festivities moving as we enjoyed lots more fun with my side of the family. Miley got to see her grandparents, aunt, cousins, second cousins, great aunt and uncle, and three great grandparents! We kept busy, on the go, and had an amazing time visiting, shopping, eating, and enjoying some beautiful sunshine. It was so wonderful to get to spend such fun times with every one and for Miley to get in some much needed bonding time. It is so hard to live long distance from our families. We miss you all more than we could ever tell you each and every day. This holiday season was one to remember and we are so grateful for God's great gift of family. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
