Well, it has been a rough day...Had to go to hospital at 4:30 this morning because I thought my water broke. Thankfully water had not broken but I was having regular contractions again and my cervix had shortened and dilated 1cm. Not good news :( ....So had to start preterm labor drugs unfortunately. We were released to go home on strict bedrest with the new meds. Please pray for Baby Pea that she stays inside longer and that the drugs dont harm her. Appreciate everyone's love and support!

31 Week Belly Shot
30 Week Belly Shot

Thanks to my dear friend Sara, I remembered that she did a fun weekly quiz on her baby blog which I thought was really cute!!! (Sorry, I am copying you friend!)

How far along? 31 WEEKS and hopefully many more to come. Trying to keep this bun in the oven!
Total weight gain/loss: 11 lbs gained
Maternity clothes? Absolutely. Stretchy pants are my friend! One of the good things about bed rest is that you can stay in your pajamas all day long!
Stretch marks? None yet thank goodness, but my stomach feels like it is going to pop!
Sleep:.I have been sleeping pretty well at night until about 5:30 or 6:00 am and then Baby Pea starts her kungfu party on my bladder and rib cage. Then it is pretty hard to get comfy!
Best moment this week: Spending time with my Mom!
Movement: Baby Pea never stops! She loves to kick me over and over and over again in the exact same spot on my right side under my ribs! Let me tell you, she is getting strong!!! She is definitely a Hagg baby :)
Food cravings: Sweets!!!! I have been wanting sweets so bad but I have had to control myself because I am on carb/sugar restrictions due to my blood sugars!!! I did cheat however and had 1/3 of a piece of black tie cheesecake from Olive Garden thanks to my Hubby!!! It was AMAZING!
Labor Signs: Definitely have calmed down lately. I have not had significant contractions in a week (just Braxton Hicks)!! Bed rest seems to be helping a lot with minimizing the contractions! I went to an appointment yesterday and the tests they did gave good news! I tested negative for cervical changes and protein indicating preterm labor (which had been positive last visit...so improvement!) Babies heart rate and fluid volume were good. So, I have been told that I can gradually and slowly try to increase activity a little unless contractions rebound. :)
Belly Button in or out? Still half in and half out. It has not been able to make up its mind since about week 20...LOL
What I miss: Sleeping on my back!!!
What I am looking forward to:  Holding my baby girl :)
Weekly Wisdom: GOD is good! He is in control. Give Him everything and He will take care of you!!! :)
Milestones:  Since I have been on bed rest since March 26th I have had a lot of time to get things accomplished! Over the last few weeks with the help of my Mom,  I have...Picked out nursery decor online / Almost finished packing baby bag for hospital (just in case)/ Started baby memory book / Established online registries (Target & Babies R US)/ Researched and picked out baby care products online/ Started 1st Bradley Class (The instructor is letting me come lay on her couch and attend class...this was my one big outing last week!)

All in all, the road to mommyville continues on. Wilson and I have definitely experienced our first speed bumps as parents to be over the last few weeks but have been blessed at the same time by family and friends support! Thanks to every one for the prayers and encouragement thus far!

A special thanks to my Mom as well. My mother came and stayed with me for over two weeks! She took such amazing care of Wilson, Baby Pea, and I! Mom you made time on bed rest go by soooo fast just simply by being you. I love you more than I can ever tell you! You mean the world to me and your help and support these last few weeks has been exactly what I needed to relax and calm me and help me down this bumpy road. I thank God for you and I just hope and pray to be as good a Mom as you! Love you :)

Happy Easter,
29 Weeks
Well, life continues on bed rest. Contractions are mostly at bay when lying down but they still come and go especially with lots of sitting. During my doctors appointment this last week we got some mixed results. There have been no cervical changes or changes with baby which is good, but a test they did to determine risk for preterm labor was positive. So, bed rest is continuing on as long as this test continues to show positive results. It doesn't seem to take much to start contracting. I have been so blessed to have my Mom here and thankfully she is here until the 17th. My hubby has also been taking excellent care of me! I am getting spoiled. I have gotten a lot accomplished on bed rest....baby research, online registries, baby book entries, etc. It is amazing how much time is in a day now! Hope you all are doing well. Just wanted to keep you all informed. Thanks for the continued thoughts and prayers! Miss you all....Headed to another doctors appointment today.

Sunday, April 1, 2012

Well, it has been a rough week in Mommyville. I ended up having to go to the hospital last Saturday while at work because I started having a lot of pelvic pressure among other issues. I went over to the Family Birth Center (FBC) and they monitored me all night and did a whole bunch of tests. It turns out that I was having contractions every 2-4 minutes for some reason unknown until about 10:30 at night. None of the tests that they ran showed any type of infection, cervical changes, amniotic fluid, etc. So, I went home with orders to return if contractions continued. I went home Sunday and slept all day only to awaken again to contractions. I went back to the hospital Sunday night and they did more tests and monitored my contractions all night which again were about 4 minutes apart. By morning the docs were talking to us about possibly starting meds and giving us medical options. It was a very scary experience because there were so many risks/benefits/side effects to consider, etc. We were about to make our decision when an answer to prayers came and the contractions slowed down. From that point on I have been on bedrest and have only had mild contractions/cramping here and there which seems to be improving every day that I am off my feet. God is good! Hopefully, the cramps/contractions stay at bay and pregnancy will go on. I just wanted to thank you all for your prayers and support so far. God is listening and we have already seen Him active in all of this. Baby Pea is doing great, ultrasounds have been positive, no cervical changes, etc. I am on bedrest until this Wed and then the situation will be re-evaluated. Will keep you all posted.
