We hiked three hours round trip on Miley's first hike. She loved it, giggling and waving her hands around the whole time!!!

Daddy hung the swing Nona and Papa sent home with Miley from Texas!!! Boy does she love it!!! Thanks Nona and Papa!

 

Month nine went quick! Miley accomplished a lot during that month including clapping her hands, rolling very well, moving from laying down to sitting, belly crawling, and FINALLY sleeping with out her swaddle (I know, I know, it's about time!)!!! She also started to take fewer naps, narrowing her snoozing time from three naps to two. Miley also really decided to LOVE yogurt and in fact wants nothing else to eat! LOL! She did start eating two new foods, chicken and eggs. She seems to really like the chicken but is unsure about the eggs. New discoveries include saying "mama" very well (although I don't think she knows what it means yet), clicking her tongue, working on waving, and getting into the crawling position. We also traveled back to Moab, Utah with some great friends and enjoyed Miley's second camping trip. Four-wheeling, jeeping, and hiking were among Miley's favorite activities! It was so great to spend so much time together as a family with such wonderful friends!

Well, as you can see month eight was a fun but busy month! First, we traveled to Corpus Christi, Texas where we got to visit lots of family! We had a great time with grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, great grandparents, and great aunts and uncles! Miley traveled amazingly well and was so happy through out the whole trip. She truly is such a good baby with such a sweet personality. Needless to say, family loved her to pieces and we had a fabulous time. She was really enjoying her  fan club and was "hamming it up" with her cheesy smile. We got to go on several fun trips to the beach and also took Miley swimming for the first time while at home. She loved playing in the sand and eating it too!!! We discovered that water bug should be her middle name because she loved swimming in the pool. She even didn't mind going under! After we returned from Texas, we left a few days later for Moab, Utah with a great group of friends. This was Miley's first camping trip and she did incredibly well. She loved being outside, interacting with every one, hanging out around the camp fire, and sleeping in the camper! Month eight sure was a good one!!! We enjoyed traveling and playing with our precious baby girl!
